Better Butter
The Fresh Pasta Company has won a Gold award and two
Silver awards from the Great Taste Awards 2004 for it's
butters.
In the class European Sauce, The Fresh Pasta Company's
Sage Butter won Gold, and it's Saffron Butter and Porcini
Mushroom Butter both won Silver.
Organised by the Guild of Fine Food Retailers, the
Awards has carved a reputation over the last decade
as the single most sought after seal of real quality
in specialty food and drink.
Nearly 4,000 entries are cooked (where necessary) and
then blind tasted by a teams of experts. Over 150 judges
are involved and it falls to them to decide which foods
deliver a high enough standard to be awarded Gold, Silver
or Bronze.
